The rear hugger for R 1200 GS and GS Adventure models without luggage holder and with ESA suspension is attached to the vehicle and rsquos bevel drive housing using the included screws. Attaching it is so easy and ingenious it and rsquos been acknowledged and protected by the German patent office. We selected the length of the rear hugger to not only help keep the motorcycle clean， but the strut will also appreciate the protection from stone chips， dirt and and ldquosandblasting and rdquo. Installing an effective rear hugger will especially improve the life of the strut and rsquos seals and piston rod.
The rear mudguard reduces considerably the amount of dirt and spray thrown up by the rear wheel and provides much needed protection to the shock absorber and the underseat area. Referring to the different models and types of motorcycles， the rear hugger incorporates different stock suspension and tire sizes. Like all of our carbon fibre parts， it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current ’best of industry’ practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fibre materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts， we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance， but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.
